Just like the rest of your skin, lips require a little effort to keep them looking and feeling their best. Whip up these super easy, nourishing treatments to create totally kissable lips.
Luscious Lips Scrub
When your lips just need a quick pick me up, or you’ve been struggling with dry, chapped skin, give this super easy scrub a try.
1 tsp olive oil, or melted coconut oil
1 tsp brown sugar
Instructions:
- Combine ingredients in a small dish.
- Apply to lips with your finger in a circular motion for 30 seconds.
- Wipe off with a wet washcloth.
Honey Lip Mask
Sometimes worn out lips need a little more love. This deeply hydrating mask will your lips with a natural red tint, plus it tastes great too. Just try not to lick it off!
1 tsp raw, organic honey
½ tsp fresh pomegranate juice
Instructions:
- Apply to your lips and leave on for at least 15 minutes.
- Rinse off with warm water.
- You can also leave the mask on until it soaks in for an even more deluxe treatment.
- Don’t lick the honey off, no matter how tempting it is. Licking your lips can cause more drying and cracking.
Avocado Delight Treatment
Another hydrating mask, the avocado treatment restores lifeless lips and make them firm and plump…for that perfect pout. The avocado is full of essential nutrients and vitamins that make it great for your skin.
2 tsp mashed avocado
1 tsp raw, organic honey
Instructions:
- Work the mixture into lips with your finger, making sure to get the corners of your mouth.
- Leave on for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with a warm washcloth.
Lemon Lip Peel
This mask is when you need something a little stronger than your typical lip treatment. The lactic acid in the yogurt and the citric acid in the lemon function essential as a lip peel and will remove that unsightly layer of dead skin.
2 tsp Greek yogurt
1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions:
- Combine ingredients in a small dish.
- Apply to your lips in an even layer.
- Let sit for 10 minutes and rinse well.
- Note: It may be a good idea to stick to more hydrating masks if you struggle with dry or sensitive skin.
Color it up
This treatment is all about color. If you’ve always wanted more naturally pink, rosy lips, than its time to turn to real roses to get that perfect look.
5-6 rose petals
½ cup milk
Instructions:
- Place the petals and milk in a small bowl and cover. Soak overnight or for at least 8 hours.
- Strain and mash the rose petals. Save the milk.
- Add a few drops of the rose-infused milk to the rose petals to help create a paste. Mix well.
- Apply to your lips and leave on for about 15-20 minutes.
- Rinse off the paste with cold water.
- Enjoy your freshly hydrated, lightly tinted lips.
Strawberry Sensation
The vitamin C and antioxidants in the strawberries will give your lips a more vibrant glow while the moisturizing oils will help revive dry skin. LIke rose petals, strawberries are also an excellent way to color your dull lips and give then a natural tint.
One strawberry
One tsp honey
One tsp olive oil
Instructions:
- Slice the strawberry and add all ingredients to the food processor.
- Pulse for a few seconds until a thick paste has formed.
- Apply to lips and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Wipe off with a damp washcloth.
Citrus Plumpling Scrub
Citrus, honey, and coconut oil combine perfectly in this easy-to-make scrub that works perfectly for a pre-lipstick treatment. Simply apply to your lips and wipe off before you use your lipstick and you won’t have to deal with any unsightly peels of dry, dead skin.
1 Tbsp coconut oil
4 Tbsp raw sugar
1 tsp wild orange honey
8 drops grapefruit essential oil
8 drops lemon essential oil
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients well.
- Use daily to scrub lips for 30 seconds to maintain that perfect pout.
- Wipe off with a washcloth.
- Store extra scrub in a clean, airtight container.
Peppermint Vanilla Scrub
This tingly scrub brings vanilla to a whole new level. Plus, its delightful scent is out of this world!
3 Tbsp coconut oil
5 Tbsp raw sugar
8 drops Vanilla Oil in Jojoba
4 drops Peppermint Oil
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients well in a dish.
- Apply a small amount to lips in a circular motion.
- Wipe clean with a damp washcloth.
